Partypoker is Up For Sale
Poker journalists recently noticed that the gambling holding Entain is selling its poker room. Apparently, Entain is considering putting up for sale several more assets: including the bookmakers Coral (UK) and Crystalbet (Georgia), as well as the Croatian casino SuperSport.
The two most likely buyers are MGM Resorts International and Draftkings. MGM even has a poker room powered by Party software, BetMGM Poker, legally operating in the USA. Draftkings, one of the largest American casino operators, tried to buy all of Entain in the fall of 2021, offering $22.5 billion for the holding. By the way, MGM also tried earlier that year, but offered only $11.1 billion.
It is too early to talk about the amount of the deal, but it is unlikely to boggle the imagination. The poker room, which was among the industry leaders in the 2000s (and by far the largest in the United States), has only been losing players over the past 15 years. First – due to leaving the American market, later – increasingly inferior to competitors (primarily PokerStars ).
In 2005, the room was valued at $10 billion: then, on average, 9,000+ people played at the cash tables simultaneously (almost like now on GGPoker).
After leaving the United States, traffic fell by more than half, and by 2015 it had doubled again. Leaving the Russian Federation in February 2022 closed the doors to the room for almost 40% of active players. Since then, the list of banned countries has only expanded – for example, partypoker recently stopped operating in Thailand. According to the PokerScout website, over the past 7 days there were 650 people at the cash tables.

Bounty Hunter Series with a Guarantee of 5,500,000 Euros
The schedule has not yet been announced, but it is known that there will be several hundred knockout tournaments in Holdem, Omaha and Short Deck with buy-ins from €3 to €1,000.
The main tournament is in Mystery Bounty format, with €250,000 up for grabs. A ticket will cost €100. You can join the game from the start of the series, and the final day will take place on March 25th.

GGPoker
After the update at the end of February, the GGPoker leaderboards were updated. In March, Holdem and Omaha fans will play 30,000 daily (in February it was 50,000).
Let's talk about the rest of the changes.
Tightening policies for tracking software. Popular trackers have appeared on the GG list of prohibited programs: H2N, HM3, PT4. Now “the GG network strictly prohibits the use of any software that collects hand histories and allows you to analyze data,” which should greatly impact multi-tabling, ease of play, and identification of bots. True, representatives of the network say that this was prohibited before, but now, the rules were simply made more clear.
Cashdrops in MTTs. Tournaments will feature $12,000 WSOP Main Packages (buy-in + expenses). A total of $2,000,000 in trips will be raffled off.
The Mystery Envelope Cash Drops promotion has been extended: cash drops are now available at 6-max tables. The guarantee has also increased – they give out 50,000 cash dollars per day. And nickname search has finally been returned to the tournament lobby.
WSOP Super Circuit Series with $100,000,000 Guaranteed
Until April 1, GGPoker is hosting the online stage of the WSOP Circuit.
The schedule features 18 title tournaments in Hold'em and Omaha with buy-ins ranging from $50 to $1,500, and a total prize pool of $100,000,000.
The two-day, $525 buy-in Main Event will feature $10,000,000 up for grabs, double what it was at last year's festival. The final will begin on April 1 at 13:00 GMT. You can get into it from any Day 1 (several times a day from the beginning of the series).
The winners of the title tournaments, as per tradition, will receive WSOP-C branded rings and other bonuses:
- Champions Freeroll Ticket with $1,000,000 Guaranteed
- Platinum Lounge access at Paris/Horseshoe Las Vegas Hotels and Casinos during the WSOP
- Displaying the WSOP-C ring at tables

Sunday Million Season series with a guarantee of $19,000,000
To mark the 18th anniversary of the weekly Sunday Million tournament, PokerStars has announced a series that will run from March 10th to April 21st.
The Sunday Million Season schedule features 24 Hold'em tournaments with entry ranging from $5.5 to $1,050 (many across three buy-in categories), with a total prize pool of over $19,000,000.

- Sunday Million 18th Anniversary with a guarantee of 8,000,000: April 7, 13:05 GMT
13th Anniversary Sunday Storm with regular buy-in 11 and 500,000 Gt: April 14, 14:05 GMT
- Sunday Million Season Finale with buy-in 109, April 21, 13:05 GMT, 1,500,000 up for grabs
Tickets for the anniversary Sunday Million are awarded to final table participants of each tournament until April 7th.
You can take part in the Season Finale for free; tickets are given for knocking out PokerStars Ambassadors in personalized tournaments:

From March 10 to April 1, The High Five tournament series returns to PokerKing with a prize pool of $12,500,000. There are 220 tournaments on the schedule from $1.1 to $1,050, many of which will be held in three buy-in categories.
There will be two main tournaments, both starting at 12:05 EST on March 31:
- Hi5 #214 – $500,000 GTD The Half Pounder for $215
- Hi5 #215 – $1,000,000 GTD Sunday Blunt Roller for $630
A distinctive feature of the series is that at 4:20 EST an additional 10-minute break will be announced every day.
Leaderboards of $53,000
Additional prizes are awarded in the leaderboards, there will be two of them:
- Low: buy-ins from $1.1 to $33
- High: buy-ins from $44 to $1,050
Points are awarded according to the formula: √prize fund / √finishing position (ITM)
The top 10 of each leaderboard will receive tickets to the upcoming The Venom tournament with a 12,500 guarantee. The full schedule of the series was published in the promotions section.
WPT Global
In March, WPT Global is hosting a 100% MTT rakeback promotion. All rake paid by tournament players until the end of the month will be given away by the poker room in freerolls.
There will be three tournaments:
- Bronze $100,000 GTD
- Silver $150,000 GTD
- Gold $350,000 GTD
Tickets are given for tournaments played or the amount of buy-ins paid (from 10:00 on March 4th to 9:59 on April 1st, GMT).
