GipsyTeam old-timers remember the Eurasian Poker Tour (EAPT), a festival of low-cost tournaments that began back in 2013. For 10 years, the series traveled across the post-Soviet space from Minsk to Borovoe, from Sochi to Altai, and from Kyiv to Budva.
In the summer of 2023, the concept changed, EAPT was relaunched as the EA Poker Tour – and the festival refocused on series in the most tourist cities in Europe. For almost a year, the updated EAPT held stages in Rozvadov and Milan, Barcelona and Madrid, Bratislava, Bucharest, and Malta.
It's time to celebrate the first anniversary! From May 2nd to 12th, the EAPT invites all poker fans to its biggest festival in history. The grand final in Northern Cyprus has a total guarantee of more than $10,000,000, as part of the Mediterranean Poker Party series.
The festival will be held at the five-star casino-hotel Merit Royal Diamond Hotel & Spa. Players can expect buy-ins from $550 to $25,500, and online satellites will start on the GG network on March 10.
At least 50 participant packages with buy-ins for the best tournaments, accommodation in a 5-star hotel, airport transfer, and tickets will be given away by GG.
Schedule
The full schedule will be announced at a later date and will be posted on the PCM website (https://pokercm.com/tournaments/eapt-grand-final-mpp/). For now, we’ll tell you about the key tournaments that will definitely find their place in the schedule.
The grand final will open with perhaps the most popular tournament format in recent times – Mystery Bounty. Participation will cost $1,100, and the guarantee is $1,000,000. Everyone who makes it to the second game day will be able to draw envelopes with knockouts.
After the warm-up Mystery Bounty, the largest and most expensive tournament in the entire ten-year history of the EAPT will begin – the EAPT Grand Final with a buy-in of $2,200 and a stated guaranteed prize pool of $2,000,000. There are three starting flights, with the second day before the finals and the decisive third day to identify the champion.
The main event of the combined series will be the MPP Main Event . It starts on May 6th and will run until the very end of the festival. Classic buy-in for major series mains is $5,300, with a $5,000,000 guaranteed, hourly levels, and a great chance to show off all your poker skills in a great tournament.
The EAPT Cyprus for $1,100 with a guarantee of $500,000 a year ago would have been the biggest tournament in the series, but now it only closes out the grand final.
Those who like to play more expensive games will be able to compete in high-roller tournaments. So far, dozens have been announced:
- MPP High Roller – $10,400 buy-in, $1,000,000 guarantee
- High Roller One Day – $10,400 buy-in, $500,000 guarantee
Organizers hint that there may be more high-roller tournaments, with $25,000, $50,000, and even $100,000 tournaments joining the schedule later.
There will be a separate zone for cash game fans. The minimum limit is $5/$15, the maximum is unlimited.
Location
The combined EAPT Grand Final X MPP series will be held at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel & Spa. This new hotel on the very shore of the Mediterranean Sea was opened less than three years ago, and it has already managed to host several major tournament festivals. Even the celestials from Triton Poker came to Merit Royal Diamond and were satisfied.
The gigantic halls of the casino hotel can accommodate up to two hundred tables, so there will definitely be no queues. The entire Merit network in Northern Cyprus operates an ultra-all-inclusive system. You can live in a simpler hotel, but spend time and eat at Diamond. +EV!
Reviews of the food from players who have visited the hotel have not yet fallen below “incredibly tasty,” and for those who are afraid of excessive calories, there is a luxury fitness center. Sauna, hammam, massages, outdoor swimming pool – everything expected of a five-star hotel.
Online satellites
On March 7, satellites to the Cyprus festival began in all rooms of the GG network. The grid starts from the cent-rolls, and over the next month and a half, at least 50 players will become holders of tickets to Cyprus.

You can start selection at any time. It is not necessary to play taps; you can register directly for the finals. There they give 10,000 chips (100 BB), and levels from 50/100 will increase every 10 minutes.
