The world's most prestigious poker series, the World Series of Poker (WSOP), announced its schedule of events for the 2024 World Series of Poker, following the success and record attendance in 2023. For the 55th annual WSOP schedule, the series returns to Las Vegas, at the Horseshoe and Paris casinos, and will feature 99 bracelet events.
The 2024 series will run from May 28th to July 17th, 2024, offering nearly 700 tables, many new events and, of course, the highly coveted WSOP Main Event bracelet.
This year's WSOP Main Event will begin on July 3rd, with four initial flights taking place until July 6th. Late registration will be available from July 7th to 8th until Level 7 at approximately 4:40 pm local time on Day 2 of each day.
The Main Event Final Table will take place on July 16th and 17th at the Horseshoe Las Vegas. Last year's Main Event drew a record 10,043 attendees and crowned Daniel Weinman champion.
That tournament had one of the fastest 3-handed tables in history, with Daniel pulling two gigantic pots.
Weinman and many former WSOP Main Event champions will kick off the 2024 series with an all-new event, the Champions Reunion No-Limit Holdem Freezeout. Serving as Event #1 on this year's schedule, the tournament will have a $5,000 buy-in and players who eliminate a former Main Event champion will receive automatic entry into the 2024 WSOP Main Event as a reward. All Main Event champions will receive free entry to play in the event.
Ty Stewart, Senior Vice President and Executive Director of the WSOP expressed excitement about this year's series:
“Records are made to be broken, so our motto this year is to be bigger and better. With our best-ever lineup and over 100 additional poker tables, we look forward to welcoming legends and newcomers from all over the world. If you are a poker player, there is simply no experience in the world like the World Series of Poker.”
The WSOP final table and secondary broadcast main stages will be located at the Horseshoe Las Vegas, once again. The Main Cage will be located at Paris Las Vegas. The two buildings are interconnected and share a parking area, which can be accessed from Paris.
Satellite Entry to WSOP Events
Part of 2023's record-breaking success was due to national and international online satellites on GGPoker and WSOP.COM.
GGPoker, the largest poker room in the world, will once again offer exclusive satellites for the WSOP 2024.
“Last year, 774 players won the GGPoker Road to Vegas satellites and walked away with over $5 million in Main Event prizes,” said Daniel Negreanu, GG's Global Ambassador and six-time WSOP winner.
“This summer, we plan to send 1,000 players to play the WSOP.”
WSOP.COM's popular online bracelet events return to action with daily and domestic qualifier satellites (US only). These Main Event satellites have buy-ins starting at $1.
In 2023, WSOP.COM qualified more than 450 players for the $10,000 Main Event, with plans to surpass that amount this year. Additionally, in 2024, during each night of the series, WSOP.COM will have a mega satellite with guaranteed seating for the following day's bracelet event.
PokerGO, the world's largest poker content company and streaming platform, returns as the official live broadcast and production partner of the WSOP. Throughout the summer, PokerGO will live stream dozens of WSOP gold bracelet events, including live coverage of the 2024 WSOP Main Event, on PokerGO.com and other platforms. The full WSOP live broadcast schedule will be released soon. In addition, PokerGO will produce new episodes of the WSOP to air on CBS Sports, which has exclusive broadcast TV in the United States.
Registration for 2024 WSOP Events
To avoid lines and congestion, the WSOP encourages participants to use the online registration process to register for events, allowing players to register and pay online. The WSOP uses www.BravoPokerLive.com to manage online registrations. Participants who register online will need to go to the Champagne Ballroom, located at Le Center Des Conventions in Paris Las Vegas, with their passport, complete an ID check, and then choose the event to play via Bravo. To print position cards, simply use the self-service kiosks located at the Paris and Horseshoe convention centers. Registration will open in May.
Live registration can be done in the Champagne Ballroom, which will have more added stations and VIP boxes. Opening hours, starting on Tuesday, May 28th, will be from 6:30 to 5:00, with a 90-minute break, from 5:00 to 6:30, until Wednesday, July 17th.
Payment methods for WSOP events are:
- Cash
- Credit or debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express)
- Paris or Horseshoe casino chips
Receiving Your Prizes
Participants can collect their winnings at the WSOP Main Cashier in the Champagne Ballroom. Participants can request their prize in cash, bank transfer, casino chips, check or deposit into a tournament account. Those who have a Bravo account can receive their rewards there.
For tax purposes, net earnings over $5,000 will be taxed.
