– How are you feeling after winning 3 bracelets this summer? Anything different leading up to the series that might have led to the massive series?
– Arrogant answer is just that I tried. People don’t understand how vast the gulf is between the best players and the best players that play the wsop. If Matt Ashton played 50 events he’d have 10 bracelets in 5 years. It’s as simple as that. The WSOP just isn’t the top level.
– Who’s the most entertaining guy you play with nowadays?
– Nick Schulman is by far the funniest person ever and thus the best person to ever play with.
– Who’s the best poker player to ever win WSOP Main Event?
– Complicated because different things matter for the time. In the modern era, Greggy (Greg Merson) was the first guy where it felt like “one of us” won. And again with Martin Jacobsen. Ignoring the pre-Moneymaker era, it was them. If you look at objectively right now, the best it’s Espen Jørstad and Joe Mckeehan.

– Me if I play, some random if I don’t.

– How much did you have of yourself when you bluffed Tobias in One Drop?
– Don’t remember probably 15% which would have been wildly irresponsible at the time for me but I honestly can’t remember for the life of me. That stuff has never affected me in any way though.
(Editor's note: Here is that hand where Seiver bluffed Tobias Reinkemeier)
– Average percentage of own action any given high roller reg retains in any tournament $100k buy-in or higher?

– Ike [Haxton] for sure but I’ve basically been a lone wolf for 15 years. Always felt the need to forge my own path. No groups no study buddies no nothing just an unhealthy belief in my own greatness.
– Would you do a $500-25k bankroll challenge on stream?
– Fuck no. Have nothing to prove and it sounds boring as hell. I get that people need their engagement but the joy of poker or any game is being challenged. If you’re not playing the hardest game in the world what are you even doing with your life. Look inwards.
– Specific poker shows you find very entertaining?
– High Stakes Poker was always the best quality back in the day. The Big Game was great because having a couple amateurs with pros created by far the best dynamics for poker. All killers is boring and all characters even more boring.

– Doubling cubes are the most brilliant idea ever and I believe they should be in almost literally every game that’s ever existed. Go in clearly the most complex and “beautiful” but honestly it’s too abstract for me and I feel chess hits the sweet spot of them for accessibility

– Momentarily blink is number 1 and I’ve bet had a 2-5.
– Best limited Magic The Gathering set? What skills did you take from magic to poker, if any?
– Outlaws of Thunder Junction maybe triple original Ravnica. I learned Magic in my 20s after poker cuz so many world-class Magic players had gotten into poker and I met them there. Never played as a kid ever.

- 17-1800 only play 1 0 or 3 0 and often play openings I don’t know just for the fun of trying new things
– Do you still play Mafia-like games at all?
– No. I kind of hate the concept of them because games with elimination just make things unfun for people who lose early. I’ve enjoyed moderating Blood on the Clocktower for friends but haven’t found the right group that would make me excited to play myself.

– What are your top 3 1992-1999 rap albums and if you had to pick out your top 3 rap albums from 2017 til now what would it be?
– Liquid swords, Illmatic, Cuban Linx. Could maybe throw 1-2 more there but to me, these are 3 of the best albums of all time and everyone else was searching for that kind of fire. For part 2 I’d say DAMN (Kendrick Lamar), It's Almost Dry (Pusha T), and whatever I put at 3rd would change every day.
– You can only go to three concerts in 2025, who are you seeing? Artists have to be at least semi-active, I’ll grant you some leeway on how you define that.
– Radiohead, even though I know that one’s impossible. Kendrick, and maybe as a wildcard, I’ll put in Jessie Ware because everyone else I want to see I’ve seen 10 times already. The best concerts are people who put on shows though and it’s hard to know in advance who that will be.
