Samantha Abernathy was born on May 11, 1991, in Atlanta. After graduating from college, she went to work as a freelance graphic designer, but in 2014 she moved to Las Vegas, where she was introduced to poker.
The start of her career was incredibly successful. In terms of the number of wins in the first year of active play at medium limits, she took first place among women. And in the second year, Samantha's winnings exceeded $100,000.
At the same time, she went into the modeling business, where she also succeeded. Today, Samantha Abernathy is a regular at medium buy-in tournaments at many major series, not only in the US, but also in Europe. For quite a while, Samantha was one of the faces of the 888poker brand, always sporting their patch. She also promoted Americas Cardroom for some time, even participating in a “Guess The Czech Food Challenge” for the online poker brand. These sponsorships and deals must have significantly increased Samantha Abernathy’s net worth.
Samantha remains connected to the poker world, although she isn’t with the 888poker team these days. Abernathy is now part of the WSOP Thrill Team, where she’s one of seven professionals. - $437,543 – Third place in the 2016 Aussie Millions Poker Championship Main Event. The series took place in Melbourne – and this is Samantha’s best cash by a wide margin.
