Starting an online Home Game and inviting friends is convenient at PokerStars. Home Games are Texas hold ‘em, Omaha, stud, HORSE, and 17 other formats. You’re in control of who plays in your home games. There’s also a video chat option in tournaments and cash games, which adds another level of thrill during big bluffs.
You can select play money with blinds 50/100 to 25M/50M. Home Game stakes for real money cash games start at $0.01/$0.02 to $0.50/$1. Pot-limit Omaha can only be played with play money.
PokerStars is compatible with Mac OS, PC, and mobile apps for iOS and Android. Download the PokerStars software and create your account. On the right side of the window, click the Home Games tab.
Creating a PokerStars Poker Club:
- Select Create a Poker Club.
- Choose a name for your club and an invitation code.
- Agree to the terms and click Create Club.
- You’ve just created your club! Friends can join your club using the Club ID and invitation code. You’ll find that information in your email after you create a club. When you double click on your club, you’ll find more ways to invite friends under the Manage Club tab.
- Create cash games or tournaments under the Manage Games tab. You can switch your games between USD, Euro, or Play Money.
- Once you’ve adjusted the players per table, stakes, and chosen play money or real money, click Create Table. Members of your club can join you now.
The webcam feature is available for UK and DE domains. Simply toggle the Webcam Game option when you’re setting up your table.
Joining A PokerStars Poker Club:
- Select Join a Poker Club.
- You’ll be asked for the Club ID, invitation code, and an optional nickname.
- Agree to the terms and click Join Club. Your request will be sent to the club manager for approval and then you’ll be able to join club games.

The rake at real money PokerStars Home Games is the same as the rake on their real money tables. Tournament rake is around 6-10% and cash game rake is between 3.5% and 4.5%.

Club Games At partypoker
In 2020 amid the pandemic, partypoker updated their app to include a Club Games section. Friends can join each other by giving invitation codes to their clubs or by getting codes from others. partypoker Club Games has Texas hold ‘em and Omaha cash games. Club organizers can adjust the details of their games, like buy-in or stake size, decision timers, seats, and more.
The stakes for real money cash games start at $0.01/$0.02 and max out at $1/$2. partypoker doesn’t have Play Money for their Club Games, only real-money.
Start by downloading the partypoker software on Mac OS, PC, iOS and Android and creating your account.
How To Create A Club Game At partypoker:
- Click the Club Games button in the menu. You can only create a club on the PC software, not the mobile app.
- Click on Create Club.
- Fill in the details of your club, like the name, password, and optional description.
- Now click Create Game and choose your stakes, players (2, 6, or 8), game speed, and more.
- Time to invite some friends! In the top right you’ll see an orange Invite button. This will give you a message to copy to your clipboard, which you can send to other players.
Joining partypoker Club Games:
- Open the partypoker software and select Club Games. Select the Join Club button next.
- You’ll need to enter the Club ID and the password, then click Join.

Play With Friends at 888poker

How To Create A Play with Friends Game At 888poker:
- Click your avatar at the top left of the 888poker application then select Play with Friends.
- Select Create New Game
- Choose Create A New Tournament or Create A New Cash Game
- You’ll need to customize the game, whether you choose a tournament or cash game. You can change lots of variables like the stakes, starting time, action time, seats, and more.
- When you’re ready, click Create. A window will pop up with an invite for you to send to friends. You can copy it directly, or have 888poker send the invitation to your email for you to forward from there.
How To Join A Play with Friends Game:
- Open the Play with Friends tab and select Join Game.
- Enter the name and password you received from another player, then click Join.

ClubGG From GGNetwork
ClubGG is part of the GGPoker family. Create your own clubs if you want to host tournaments and cash games, or look around for other clubs. ClubGG has Texas hold ‘em, pot-limit Omaha, short deck, and multi-table tournaments (MTTs). Check the tournament lobby for WSOP tickets and satellites for other live events.
Funding yourself on ClubGG is all done within the clubs. You’ll request chips (exchange cash for chips) and send funds to the club organizers.
The stakes for hold ‘em, Omaha, cash games run from 0.05/0.10 up to a whopping 100/200. Short deck games range from 0.01 to 100 button blinds. For tournaments, you can choose very low or very high entry fees.
The ClubGG software is made for Mac OS, PC, and mobile apps for iOS and Android.
Download the ClubGG application from the App Store or Google Play. You need to register with ClubGG, even if you already play poker on GGPoker. You can quickly register after you install the app.
How To Create A Club At ClubGG:
- Open the software and log in. When you have done that, you’ll see a green Create Club button in the middle of the screen.
- Click that and choose your club name and image. Click Create.
- Now you’ll be in your club’s lobby. Select Create A New Table.
- Choose from no-limit hold ‘em, pot-limit Omaha, or short deck (6+)
- Edit the settings for your game, like players, stakes, start time, and more.
- Click Create or Save As Template. To share this game, click the share icon in the top right of the screen.
How To Join A Club At ClubGG:
- To join another club or game, go to the search bar on the main app page.
- Input the Club ID and select Search.
- You’ll be taken to the Clubs page, write a message to the owner and hit Join.

How To Play Poker For Free With Friends
If your friends are new to poker, it might be better to use no money at first. You don’t need to make a deposit on these sites to play. Some apps will encourage you to buy different cosmetics or additional chips, but that’s completely optional.

Experienced players will notice softer competition than they normally would encounter on major platforms like 888poker or PokerStars. Many of the players who join club apps are seeking that “home game feeling,” rather than trying to constantly improve their poker skills. This will be different in every club, so you’ll need to find a club that suits you.
One of the biggest poker club apps is PPPoker. Players love the customization and having some degree of control over who they play against. Some tables even have a VPIP restriction, which stops tight players from waiting for premium hands.
