PokerKing has introduced tournaments in the new Survivor Flips format: the debut will run until February 23. Here's how the mechanics and features work.

A tournament ticket costs $230, with a prize pool of $500,000. You can save money by entering satellites for $30, or qualify through steps for $4.

The tournament consists of two phases:

  1. Flip Phase. The game begins after 8 players register. Each player is dealt 3 cards and has 20 seconds to discard one (otherwise, the lowest-ranked card is automatically discarded). The flop, turn, and river are then dealt, and the player with the weakest hand is eliminated. The game continues until one player remains at the table.
  2. Tournament Phase. There is no direct buy-in; entry is only possible from the Flip Phase. The game starts in the prize zone, with participants beginning with equal stacks.

Features of the Tournament Phase:

  • Starting stack: 100,000 chips (100 BB)
  • Levels: 12 minutes each
  • Maximum number of players: 600
  • No late registration
