In January and February, PokerKing will host two versions of the flagship tournament The Venom: the total prize pool will be $10,000,000.

The Hold'em tournament will have a prize pool of $8,000,000, and the PLO tournament will have a prize pool of $2,000,000, both in the Mystery Bounty format. The ticket traditionally costs $2,650.

The tournaments run synchronously, with five entry days:

  • Day 1A: January 19
  • Day 1B: January 23
  • Day 1C: January 26
  • Day 1D: January 30
  • Day 1E: February 3

Flights start at 5:05 PM GMT.

The remaining players will advance to Day 2 (February 3 at 6:05 PM GMT), and the final tables will be played out on February 4 at 9:05 PM GMT.

Satellites

You can qualify for the tournament through several types of satellites:

  • Venom Fever Megasatellites: Tournaments with buy-ins from $16.5 with tickets to both The Venom tournaments.
  • Venom Blitz Steps: An unusual format of multi-step satellites played in fast poker format: no blind increases, but with tournament chips and table changes when cards are discarded. A ticket to the next level is awarded upon reaching a stack of 5,000 chips. There are 9 steps in total, the cheapest costs $0.11 (the ticket can be won in freerolls).
  • On Demand Steps: Classic knockout tournaments where winning one satellite gives you a ticket to a more expensive satellite. Available in Sit&Go and MTT formats, with buy-ins from $0.11 to $880. There are 9 steps in total, and you can start from any of them (the ticket to the first step for $0.11 can be won in a freeroll).
  • On Demand Skips: Satellites similar to Steps, but with 4 steps. Participation costs from $0.25 to $95.
