From 28 July to 18 August, WPT Global will host a new Summer Festival with a record-breaking prize pool of over $8,000,000.

The schedule features 353 Hold'em, PLO and shortdeck tournaments with buy-ins starting at $5.5.

Key tournaments:

  • #4: $22 Mini Championship $150,000 GTD – 28 July – 17 August
  • #5: $220 Championship, $500,000 GTD – 28 July – 18 August
  • #10: $530 WPT 500, $400,000 GTD – 28 July – 4 August
  • #130: $1,060 WPT Prime, $750,000 GTD – 4-11 August
  • #237: $3,500 WPT Championship, $1,000,000 GTD – 11-18 August

The winners of these tournaments will meet in the $25,000 Tournament of Champions freeroll. There are 5,000 chips at the start and if you win more than one tournament, you'll get another 5,000 for each one. Prizes are paid out in tickets to upcoming online series, with the winner picking up a $12,400 WPT World Championship package.

A $75,000 guaranteed freeroll will be held on 25 August, with the starting stack depending on the number of tournaments played or the amount of buy-ins:

  • 30-59 tournaments or $500-$1,999 in buy-ins: 5,000 chips (Bronze)
  • 60-99 tournaments or $2,000-$4,999 in buy-ins: 10,000 chips (Silver)
  • 100+ tournaments or $5,000+ in buy-ins: 15,000 chips (Gold)

Players who reach the Gold level will be entered into the $12,400 WPT World Championship package drawing on 25 August. Each package includes $10,400 for a ticket and $2,000 in expenses.

Another way to increase your stack is to play at PLO cash tables: every 100 hands at limits $0.1/$0.2 and above will add 200 chips (up to a maximum of 4,000 in total). The qualifying period runs from 0:00 GMT on 28 July to 23:59 on 18 August. All hands in which a player is dealt cards, even if he discarded them before the flop, are counted.
